Obituary 

"To the Editor BUCKINGHAM, Oct. 1837 
SIR - Permit me to groupe together several departed friends, that death, the King of Terrors, 
has made havoc of in our good county of Buckingham, in the last few weeks:...Also, William 
LEWIS, an honest man by nature and practice - pure amongst the purest; eminently gifted with 
virtuous, kind and social feelings in his family, to his neighbors, and toward all manknid. He 
has left an amiable wife and several daughters to mourn their irreparable loss..."
