Witnesseth that they the said Richard Thurman and Anne his wife and Susannah the wife of John Trayler for and in consideration of the sum of sixty five pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released and confirmed unto the said Sheldrake Brown his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid containing by estimation one hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less being the same tract whereon the said Richard Thurmon now lives and bounding as follows (viz) Beginning at a branch on Micajah Terrell line thence to a corner post oak on the said Terrell line thence to a corner pine on Benjamin Gilberts line then along the said Billboards line to a corner red oak on the Locust Thicket line thence along the said Locust Thicket line to the aforesaid branch then down the branch to the beginning place. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land as above bounded with the appurtenances unto the said Sheldrake Brown his heirs and assigns forever and the said Richard Thurman and Anne his wife and Susannah Trayler do for themselves and their heirs covenant and agree to warrant and defend the said land and premises hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Sheldrake Brown his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. In witness whereof the said Richard Thurmon and Anne his wife and Susannah Trayler wife of John Trayler have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. N55E182 poles to his corner pine S74E18 poles to his William Brown’s corner pine thence along Brown’s line N45E108 poles to Benjamin Gilbert’s corner white oak then along his line n64w24 poles to his corner chestnut oak on Locust Thicket Road thence down the same as it meanders to the first station. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land as above bounded with the appurtenances unto the said Sheldrake Brown his heirs and assigns forever and the said Richard Thurman and his wife Anne do for themselves and their heirs covenant and agree to warrant and defend the said land and premises hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Sheldrake Brown his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.
