Know Ye that in consideration of the amount compensation of 30 Schillings Sterling paid by Daniel Driskill into the Treasury of this Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto the said Daniel Driskill a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred acres by survey bearing date the twelfth day of April one thousand seven hundred and eighty as assignee of part of an entry made in the name of Thomas Watkins dated March the fifth one thousand seven hundred and fifty four for four hundred acres on the East side of Falling river beginning at his own corner three hundred acres of land situated in Bedford County on Falling river bounded as followeth to wit. Beginning at the mouth of Island branch thence South twenty-five degrees west eight poles up the river to a Locust on the bank of the west side of the river thence by the bank thereof North thirty-three degrees west forty poles North fifty four degrees west sixty-two poles thence across near Michael Pruitt's Mill Dam. North thirty-four degrees East ten poles to a red oak on the East bank of the river. Thence up passing the end of the Mill dam North seventy-four degrees west eight poles to the mouth of Dog Creek thence up the Creek as it meanders to a white Oak on Lon Toddıs line, thence along his lines South fifty degrees west six poles to his corner pointers South thirty degrees East ninety four poles to his corner pointers North seventy-four degrees East two hundred and sixty poles to his corner pointers North nineteen degrees West twenty poles to Watkins corner shrub white oak thence along Watkins lines South fifty-two degrees East seventy-six poles to his corner pointers South fifty-four degrees west one hundred and ninety poles to his corner pointers South twenty-eight degrees west thirty poles to a poplar just above the head of the island branch thence down the said branch as it meanders to the first station with its appurtenances; to have and to hold the said parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Daniel Driskill and his Heirs forever.
