Harris/Maloney Deed, 1791 Deed - William Harris to James Maloney 1791 Campbell County Deed Book 3, Page 138: This indenture made this 22 day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and ninety one. Between William Harris of Campbell County of the one part and James Maloney (a new comer) of the other part, Witnesseth that he the said William Harris for and in consideration of the full sum of Twenty five pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell deliver, alien and confirm unto him the said James Maloney, one certain tract or parcel of Land containing one Hundred and ten acres (be the same more or less, the same being part of a tract granted to the said William Harris by Patent for 940 acres) situate in Campbell County on branches of cheese creek and on both side of Wards road, bounded as followeth, viz, Beginning at James Mehorneys corner pine the same being a corner of the old lines of Munford and Gordon, thence along Mahorneys lines, the same being a dividing line W. 120 poles crossing Wars road to pine stump thence new dividing line N 108 poles to pointers, E. crossing Wards road 220 poles to Pointers on the old line of Munford and Gordon, and along the old line S42W 144 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the above granted land and premises, with every of the appurtenances, privileges, profits and enjoyments thereunto appertaining, with the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders and every part and parcel thereof unto him the said James Maloney his Heirs and assigns forever, and he the said William Harris doth for himself and his Heirs covenant grant and agree to and with him the said James Maloney his Heirs and assigns that he the said William Harris and his Heirs the above granted land and premises free from the claim or demand of all other person or persons whatsoever, unto him the said James Maloney his Heirs and assigns shall and will by these presents warrant and forever defend.
