Maloney/Ward Deed, 1794 Deed - James Maloney to William Ward, 1794 Campbell County Deed Book 3, Page 438 is as follows: This indenture made this --- day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and ninety four. Between James Malona of Campbell County of the one part and John Ward of the said County of the other part, Witnesseth that he the said James Malona for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty five Pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell deliver alien and confirm unto him the said John Ward, one certain tract or parcel of Land containing one Hundred and ten acres (be the same more or less, the same being the place where he now lives one, which he purchased of William Harris situate in Campbell County on the branches of Cheese Creek and on both sides of Wards road, bounded as followeth, viz, Beginning at James Mehormers corner pine the same being a corner of the old lines of Munford and Gordon, thence along Mehormers lines, the same being a dividing line W. 120 poles to pine stump then new dividing line N 108 poles to Pointers, E. crossing Wards road to Pointers on the old line of Munford and Gordon, and along the old line S42W 144 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the above granted land and premises with every of the appurtenances privileges profits and enjoyments thereunto appertaining with the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders and every part and parcel thereof unto him the said John Ward his Heirs and assigns forever, and he the said James Melona doth for himself and his Heirs covenant grant and agree to with him the said John Ward his Heirs and assigns that he the said James Melona and his Heirs the above granted land and premises free from the clame or demand of all other person or persons whatsoever unto him the said John Ward his Heirs and assigns shall and will by these presents warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof he the said James Malona hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
