Abstrast of Will of Henry Tate, 8-7-1784 Henry Tate made his will on the 7th day of August, 1784, "committing his soul to God, his body to the dust, etc", requested that his funeral sermon to be preached from the first verse of the last chapter of Ecclesiastes, or the 48th verse of the 89th Psalm. Wife, Sarah Tate, to have home place, mill, plantation, land on Goose Creek, for the duration of her life, and upon her death to the two oldest sons, Edmund and Caleb. Will was probated in Campbell County, September 5, 1793.
