Thomas Fox's 10th Virginia Regiment in December 1776 for the sum of three years, that he was discharged 10th of June 1778 from his inability to serve. Given under my hand 20th February 1784. Southall On examination of the within mentioned person find a total loss of the left eye and from an opacity of the right eye, he is almost totally deprived of sight. This blindness he says was received by the small pox while in the Army of the United States. The man can do nothing I conceive to obtain a support. Signed: W.
