VA Service of;
   Thomas Nunn 2 1576 made application in Claiborne co Tenn `832, age 81.  In 
January past , states he entered service 1779 or 1780 in Caroline county, VA, 
under Capt Simson 5th regiment commanded by Col Mathews of Line of Virginia and 
march with the militia of Williamsburg, VA and joined the regulars commanded by 
General Wheden, soon after he returned home from this tour, enlisted in Level 
company in Caroline Co. VA.
