The Will of GEORGE MARSHALL (who married THERESA BROADDUS) Dated 19 Jul 1872 Probated 9 Nov 1874 WB 35 Caroline Co, VA In the name of God Amen; I GEORGE MARSHALL of the County of Caroline, State of Virginia, being in fable health, but of sound mind and desposing memory do make & ordain this my last will and testament thereby revoking any other heretofore made by me. Item 1st. It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. 2nd That all my children share equally in whatever effects both real and personal I may have, excepted that I give to my daughter ANN E. RICHERSON extra my bed bedding & stead now at my sons JAMES H. MARSHALL 3rd The bond I hold against my son JAMES H. MARSHALL for a certain peice of land sold him by me I give him as a portion of his interest in my estate. Lastly, I hereby appoint my two sons JOHN W. and JAMES H. MARSHALL executors to this my last will & testament and respectfully request the court to suffer them to qualify without security. Witness my hand & seal this 19th day of July 1872.
