Richerson are tied and firmly bound unto the Commonweath of Virginia in the just and full sum of six hundred dollars to the payment of which well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated the 8th day of August 1859. The conditions of the above obligation is such that if the said Patrick H. Burruss who has been appointed Adm. of Charles Burruss deceased shall faithfully exchanged the duties of his said office then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. Flippo of Caroline (County), being of sound mind and disposing memory but in feeble health do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others; Firstly, I desire that as soon after my decease as possible, all my just debts shall be paid. Secondly; I give to my son John J. Flippo, a colt named Mealey, and a heifer called Alice and I give to my daughter Julia Ann H. a cow named Fussey and old bed. Thirdly; I give to my beloved wife Rachel Terrell_______(illegible) ring her natural life all my land and its appurtenances and I also give her during her natural life all my personal property that may remain after the payment of my debts so much as is specified in the second clause of this Will Fourthly; After the decease of my beloved wife I desire and direct that all my property both real and personal shall be sold and the _______(illegible) (remaining ?) proceeds of sale shall be distributed equally among my children and their lawful heirs. And lastly, I do appoint my friends William White and Charles Corr executor to this my last will and testament.
