It is located in Carroll County Virginia, on land that Allen Smith bought from the heirs of Joshua Parker in 1840. The cemetery is on a high hilltop, beside an old plantation road, off a private drive at the end of Turkey Run Lane, 1.2 miles from Rt. 713 (Elkhorn Road), in the Crooked Creek Mountain View Estates Development. The development entrance is 2.5 miles from the intersection of Rt. 713 (Elkhorn Road) and Rt. 722 (Cranberry Road). There are three marked graves and evidence of as many as fifty or more unmarked graves, indicated by fieldstones or sunken ground.
