Obituary of Arlis Everette Harrold/Harrell, 1975 - Carroll Co. VA

Arlis Everette Harrold died on Wednesday, September 17, 1975. He was born 
January 10, 1913 in Carroll County, Virginia, the son of Thomas C. Harrold 
and Elizabeth [Vipperman] Harrold. He was the grandson of Enos Sylvester 
Harrold and Evalina [Allen] Harrold; great grandson of Elijah Harrold and 
Catherine Scott and of Robert Allen and Elvira Dean; gg-grandson of: John 
Scott and Affirah Ayers, Carr Allen and Temperance Daniel, Henry Harrison 
Dean, Jr. and Keturah Ayers.

Arlis is survived by his wife Madge Chandler Sawyer Harrold; brothers:  
Marion Sylvastal Harrold, Charlie Thomas Harrold (and wife Roxie [Hill] 
Harrold), Carlis Yancey Harrold (and wife Exie [Guynn] Harrold); sisters: 
Mary Eveline [Harrold] Hiatt (and husband Simon Lee Hiatt) and Ruth Etta 
[Harrold] York (and husband James York); a number of nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by: brothers: Joseph Harrold,  (husband of Alice 
[Fulp] Harrold), buried at Korner's Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Dennis 
Harrold, and Ray Harrold (twins), both buried in the Montgomery Cemetery in 
Carroll County.

Arlis Harrold was a Veteran of WWII, and served his country honorably.

After the funeral service, he will be buried in the Harrold Family Cemetery 
at Cana, on Ward's Gap Road in southern Carroll County, Virginia.
