Obituary of Ivy Olen Surratt, 1960 - Carroll Co. VA

Ivy Olen Surratt, 56, who resided in the Fancy Gap section of Carroll Co.
died at his home after a period of declining health on Sunday 17 July 1960.
He was born 1 Nov 1903 to the late R Garland Surratt and Mrs L. A. Surratt.
Surviving are four sons Horace D Surratt, Cana; Carlos F Surratt, Galax;
Donald H surratt and Berlin Surratt both of Fancy Gap; four daughters Mrs
Doris Hawks and Mrs Iva Lea Gunnell both of Cana, Miss Norma Jean Surratt
and
Miss Patty Sue Surrett both of the home; one sister Mrs Rhoda Leonard of
Galax, one half brother William Hart Beckley WVa and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Community Chapel Baptist Church and
conducted by Rev Eugene Baker and Rev. Basil Burchan. Interment was in the
church cemetery.
