That he was accordingly marched Southward where he continued in service until he contracted a disease which has deprived him of this eyesight and finds it out of his power to labour for a subsistance, that being possessed of no property he is in the most distressed situation, and praying relief is reasonable. And that the petitioner for his present relief be allowed the sum of twelve pounds be paid to him out of the Continental fund or any unappropriated money in the hands of the Treasurer's and that the Executive do cause him to be put on the pension list.
