These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. ================================================================== 2 March 1757 The last Will & Testament of William Maynard deced was Presented in Court by John Mayard [sic] one of the Executors therein named & being proved by the Oath of John Gregory Joseph Royster & Barnard Johnson the Witnesses thereto is Ordered to Be Recorded And On the Motion of the said Executor and Confirming what is usual in such cases Certificate is granted him for Obtaining a Probate thereof in due form he giving Security Whereupon he together with John Royster and Nathaniel Maynard his Securities Entered into & Acknowledged Their Bond in penalty, One thousand and five hundred Pounds with conditions according to Law (Charles City Co., Virginia Court Orders 1751-1757:444). ------------------------------------ (Contributors note: No will, or copy of William Maynard’s will, is known to be extant).
