Names all children + slaves To the worshipful Court of Charlotte County in Chancery sitting The bill of Henry Farley. The compl't is the son of Archer Farley dec'd who at his death left the following children, John, William, Joanna married to F. Moody, Susanna, Mary Sophy & the compl/t and a widow Ann Farley. Henry Robertson Administered on his estate. He left a considerable estate, real and personal which is yet undivided. The compl't prays that the same may be divided according to law between himself and the said Ann the widow, John, William, Joanna & Francis Moody her husband, Susanna Mary & Sophy whom he prays to be made defendants hereto together with the said Henry [Farley crossed out] Robertson Adms as aforesaid. The answer of Ann Farley, John Farley, William Farley, Francis Moody & Joanna his wife, Susanna Farley, Mary Farley & Sophy Farley & Henry Robertson, Adms of Archer Farley dec'd to the bill of Henry Farley. The defendant admit the allegations of the said Bill to be real and have no objection to the prayer of the same. image 3 Farley vs Farley It is ordered that Thomas Finch, Wilson Bruce, Robert Moore, Hillary Mosely & Francis Barnes Jr. be commissioners who are hereby directed to fivide between the Complt and defendants the real and personal estate of Archer Farley dec'd alloting to Ann Farley one third of the land and one third of the negroes to hold for her life and the third of the other personal estate to hold absolute (too light to read) to the complt one seventh to the defendant, John Farley one seventh, to the defendant William Farley one seventh, to the defendent Moody & wife one seventh, to the defendant Susannah Farley one seventh, to the defendant Mary Farley one seventh and to the defendant Sophy Farley one seventh of residue of the said Archer Farley's real and personal estate after delivering to the said Ann the third part of the land, slaves & other personal estate as above described, that the said Ann be appointed as guardian and ____ of the defendant John, William, Mary, Susannah and Sophy who are infants that the Admr. John, William, Joanna, Susanah, Mary and Sophia Sons & daughters of the said Archer Farley who died Interstate as in the bill mentioned, agreeable to the prayer of the said bill and as the Law directs- first laying off allotting and assigning to the defend. and Ann the widow her thirds in the said Lands, Slaves & personal estate of the said Archer Farley as her dower in the said Estate, and that the administrator deliver up the estate in his hands for that purpose, and Thomas Finch--Nelson Bruce, Robert Moore, Hillery Mosely, & Francis Barnes Jr. are appointed commissioners to make Such allottment and division & to assign the same to the parties Interested, and report the same to the Court that a final decree may be made in this Suit. Given from under our hands this 5th March 1814 Hillery Moseley Robert Moore Nelson Bruce NOTE: The Hillery Moseley who was involved in the settlement of Archer Farley's estate was the uncle of Susan Moseley who married my William B. Robertson. Evidently Johanna Farley Moody got the 51 acres next to Moseley.
