Charlotte County Order Book 11 (1797-1799) page 86: "4 Sept 1797.
Mary Chaffin, guardian to John & Letty Chaffin, orphans of John
Chaffin, produced full receipt from John & from John Wallace who
intermarried with Letty."

Charlotte County Guardian Accounty 1782-1799, page 162: "2 Sept
1797 John Wallace and my now wife Lettice Chaffin, orphan of John
Chaffin, guardian Mary Chaffin"
