VA Deed Bk 9, 1801-1803 pg 252 This indenture made this 30th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two between Josiah Moseley & Elizabeth Moseley his wife of the one part and Edward Moseley of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas the said Elizabeth late Elizabeth Bibb widow of John Bibb dec'd was endowed of one third part of the ferry and ferry landing commonly called Bibb's Ferry on Stauton River, and the said Elizabeth is now intermarried with the said Josiah Moseley. MNow this indenture witnesseth that the said Josiah Moseley and Elizabeth his wife in consideration of the sum of forty five pound current money of Virginia to them in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said Edward Moseley have bargained, sold transferred and released and by these presents do bargain, sell,.....unto the said Edward Moseley and to his heirs and assigns the aforesaid one third part of the said Ferry commonly called Bibb's ferry on Stauton river with the ferry landing therefore annexed on the north side of said river. To have and to hold the said ferry and landing to him the said Edward Moseley and his heirs and assigns during the natural life of her the said Elizabeth Moseley late Elizabeth Bibb the widow of John Bibb, to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Edward Moseley his heirs and assigns against the claim of the said Josiah Moseley and Elizabeth Moseley his wife or either of them and against the claim of all persons whatsoever claiming under them or either of them. In witness whereof the said Josiah Moseley and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year aforesaid.
