Farley from Robertson.
This indenture made the 11th day of September in the year of our lord one
thousand seven hundred & ninety Five  Between Edward Robertson of the County of
Nottoway of the one part and Archer Farley of the County of Charlotte of the
other part. Witnesseth that the said Edward Robertson for & in consideration of
the sum of One hundred & fifty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand
paid by the said Archer the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge have
granted, bargained, sold, a......do give, grant, bargain, sell....unto said
Archer Farley & to his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying &
being in the County of Charlotte containing by Estimation four hundred eighty
acres more or less. Bounded by: David Robertson, Henry Robertson & other
together with all appurtenances....To have & to hold the aforesaid four hundred
& eighty of land unto the said Archer Farley himself & his heirs & assigns....

Sealed & Signed & delivered in the presence of:
Henry Robertson, Thompson Farley, Brooks Robertson.

This Indenture was proved in Court by the oaths of Henry Robertson & Thompson
Farley to be the act & deed of the said Edward Roberson and at a court held for
the said County the 3rd day of April 1797.  The same was further Oath of Brooks
Robertson to be the act & deed of the said Edward Robertson and ordered to be
