I Robert Puckett of County of Charlotte and parish of cornwall being weak in body but of sound mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of man, knowing it is appointed for all men to die, do make this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say, I resign my soul to god who gave it me, and my Body to the dust again to be buried in a Christian like manner–and as Touching my worldly Estate wherewith I hath pleased almighty God to bless me with, I devise in the following manner, viz, first my desire is that all my Lawful debts be paid, secondly I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Puckett the lands she now lives on in Campbell County with all the Estate both real and personal which she is now in possession of during her natural life, to her use and her children only, and after the decease of my said wife Elizabeth my desire is that the whole of said land and said Estate above mentioned be equally divided between all my children which came of her body, namely, Claybore Puckett, Patty Lewis, Nathaniel Puckett, Isham Puckett, Fleming Puckett, Charles Puckett, Shippy Allen Puckett, Thomas Puckett, and Francis Puckett, to them and their heirs forever–My desire is that all my debts be paid out of my Estate which I possess in Charlotte County, and the remainder of such Estate I lend to Sarah Potter during her natural life and at her decease to be equally divided between Robert Potter, Douglas Potter, Allen Potter, Nancy Wmly Potter, Jeney Whiten Potter, to them and their heirs forever, and if she should from her being pregnant have a child which may survive my desire is that such child have an equal share of my Estate as above to it and its heirs forever–and I do hereby disannul all former Wills and Legacies heretofore made by me and I do hereby appoint Claibore Puckett, Mathew White, and William White my whole and Sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
