Moon Recorded in Will Book 7 page 181 Charlotte County Clerk's Office In the name of God Amen. I William C. Moon of Charlotte County and the State of Virginia, being weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks to Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz. I lend to my beloved wife Unice Moon during her natural life, my mansion house and one hundred and eighty acres of land attach to the same also all my Household and Kitchen furniture, three feather beds & furniture.  I also lend my beloved wife three negroes during her natural life viz. Betty, George and Mahaly also one bay Horse two cows and also one yoke oxen and cart.  I desire that the balance of my land be sold immediately after my decease by my executor on a credit of one two and three years.  I also desire that all my stock of Horses cattle Sheep and Hogs be sold by my executor on a credit of twelve months, also plantation tools and also blacksmith tools and one rifle and one Shot Gun and the money thence arising from the sale of my land and stock be equally divided between my daughter Elizabeth Roberson, Patrick Moon, Martha Moon, Sophia Moon, Parrham Moon, Nancy Moon, and Henry Moon my youngest son my daughter Elizabeth Roberson having received a part of her portion in money and property to the amount of three hundred dollars of the division that is to be made, my son Patrick Moon also having received the sum of Seventy five dollars in property which is to be considered as a part of his portion, also and likewise my son Parrham Moon having received a part of his portion in property to the amount Sixty five dollars and also my son Henry Moon having received of his portion in property to the amount of fifty dollars.  Item.  I give and bequeath unto my son Parrham Moon the sum of two hundred dollars extra to him and his heirs forever.  Item.  I give and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Moon, Sophia Moon and Nancy Moon each of them one feather bed and furniture extra to them and their heirs forever.  I also desire that all my negroes be divided equally between Elizabeth Roberson, Patrick Moon, Martha Moon, Sophia Moon, Parrham Moon, Nancy Moon and Henry Moon, except those loand my wife and I also desire that after the death of my wife what property I have loand her be sold and the money thence arising be equally divided with my general estate.  I do hereby nominate and appoint Elijah H. Roach Executor to this my last Will and testament revoking and disallowing all former wills by me made.  In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Twenty first day February eighteen hundred and twenty eight. Moon (seal) In the presents of Fenton North Archibald Moon Elijah Ramsey (his X mark) John Hamlet At a Court held for Charlotte County the 6th day of July 1835 This last will and testament of William C. Moon decd was presented in Court and the same was proved in open Court by the oath of Archibald Moon and John Hamlet two of the subscribing witnesses hereto and ordered to be recorded. And Elijah W. Roach the executor herein named came into Court and renounced the burthen of the execution thereof which is ordered to be recorded.  And on the motion of Parham Moon and Henry C. Moon who made oath according to law, administration of the said estate is granted them with the will annexed in due form they giving bond and security whereupon they with Clement Hancock, Archibald Moon, John Hamlet and Fenton North their securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of twenty five thousand dollars conditioned as the law requires.
