Mrs. Alpert, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of David E. Alpert. She was a charter member of Temple Israel and its sisterhood in Norfolk and the Golden Age Club. Survivors include a daughter, Toby A. Grim of Norfolk; two sons, Marvin Alpert of Dayton, Ohio, and Norman Alpert of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Shirley R. Friedman of Norfolk; four brothers, Mischa Rafal and Charles Rafal, both of Norfolk, Archie Rafal of Dayton and Martin Rafal of Detroit; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Workmen's Circle Cemetery in Chesapeake by Rabbi Michael A. Panitz and Cantor Isaac Danker. The family will be at 7009 Adele Court in Norfolk. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
