Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 7, 2003 
Silvader P. ``Vada'' Claggion , 79, of the 3700 block of Greenwood Drive, died
March 3, 2003 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A native of Norfolk, Berkley section, she retired as a licensed practical nurse
from the U.S Public Health Service Hospital previously located on Hampton
Boulevard in Norfolk. She was a member of New Central Baptist Church and was the
widow of Charles O. ``Buddy'' Claggion .

Survivors include three daughters, Joanne and husband Willard Adams of
Portsmouth, Denise and husband Adrian Baker and Patricia and husband David Hill,
all of Chesapeake; three sons, Pierce and wife Thelma Claggion of Rowlett,
Texas, Richard and wife Kathy Claggion of Chesapeake and Carl and wife Patricia
Claggion of Woodbridge, Va.; one sister, Evelyn Palmer of Portsmouth; 11
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Central Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. H. Bernard Branch. Burial will be at Roosevelt Memorial
Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin today
at noon. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and the
family will be at No. 4 Eleanor Court, North, Portsmouth, and will assemble
there for the procession to the church.
