Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, November 11, 2001 
Lovie Davenport, 92, of the 2400 block of West Ave., passed into the arms of her
Saviour in the early morning hours of Nov. 9, 2001.

She was the daughter of the late George and Maggie Wynn. She was predeceased by
her husband, Robert Davenport. She was a retired seamstress and a member of
Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Gladys M. Elliott and her husband, Frank S.
Elliott Sr.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, who called her
``Guguli''; a cousin, and other relatives and friends. They mourn her passing,
but cherish her memory and thank God for having been a part of her long and
enjoyable life.

A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday at Graves Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence of her daughter,
703 W. 26th Street, Norfolk.
