Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, January 10, 2002 
Audreynell Hodges Fountain formerly of West Hastings Arch passed into eternal
rest Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002. She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the
late John H. and Aline Uzzell Hodges. She was a widow of Thomas Fountain Jr.

Mrs. Fountain was employed as a legal secretary for the late Attorney Victor J.
Ash. She retired as a secretary from Norfolk State University. She is survived
by a sister, Laura Shirley and her husband, the Rev. Robert S. Shirley; a
brother, John Hunter Hodges; nephew, Robert L. Shirley Jr.; niece, Saundra L.
Shirley; and a stepson, Thomas Fountain Jr. She will also be missed by cousins,
among them Earl P. Fraley and Dana M. Fraley.

A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Church of God in
Christ, 1615 Isaac St. with Dr. Wilbert Daniels officiating. Burial will be in
Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick
Funeral Service. The family will be at the residence of Dana M. Fraley, 6231
Sedgefield Drive.
