Chesapeake - Cleniest Madrey of 610 Partridge St., the husband of Mrs. Minnie
Madrey and a native of Norfolk, died Saturday, Jan. 11, in a Norfolk hospital.

He was a gang leader for the Shortshoremen and a member of Local ILA 1458.

He was a member of the Trustee Board, Male Usher Board and Men’s bible Class of
Mount Lebanon Baptist church, Campostella.  He was a member of Rising Sun
Masonic Lodge 2.

Survivors also include a half brother, Clyde Riddick of New York, and a
goddaughter, Mrs. Aliceteen Brickhouse of Chesapeake.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 19, in Mount Lebanon Baptist Church by
the Rev. Frank P. Wise.  burial was in Roosevelt Memorial Park with Pretlow’s
Funeral Home in charge.
