Chesapeake - Marine Private First Class Richard Prostell, 21, of 4815 Bainbridge
Blvd. received funeral rites July 31 in New Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev.
Willie L. Davis officiated.

A native of Norfolk county, Pfc. Prostell was killed in action in Vietnam July
17. He was a son of Melvin J. and Mrs. Barbara J. Locker.

He was a 1967 graduate of Crestwood High School and a member of New Mt. Olive
Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Melvin J. Locker of
Chesapeake; and seven sisters, Miss Bettie J. Locker of the Waves stationed in
San Francisco and Misses Flora Walker, Elizabeth M. Walker, Connie Walker,
Belinda Walker, Lucinda F. Walker and Diane M. Walker of Chesapeake.

Interment was in Roosevelt Memorial Park with full military honors.
