                    Winterpock, Virginia
                    Chesterfield County

DESCRIPTION:

Just across the road from the Bethiah Methodist Church lies the cemetery, though 
kept comparatively free of undesirable growth, and apparently cared for, it has 
nevertheless, not been used as a burying ground for a number of years.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

Here are several tombstones, scattered irregularly about the small lot, some of 
which are grouped in plots surrounded by iron fences. Some of these graves are 
much older then the others which lie nearby, but each is covered by a heavy mat 
of brown leaves from the over hanging boughs of ancient oaks.  The epitaphs are 
as follows:
