Chesterfield County DATE: 1884 – date of oldest grave marker. OWNERS: Trinity Church. DESCRIPTION: Here in the heart of the little village which bears the Indian name Winterpock, is the site of the old Trinity Church, almost obliterated by briars and weeds. The church itself has long ago vanished, and only the cemetery, if it may be called such, remains. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: There are many graves here, but only a few of them are marked with tombstones, and all of them are covered deeply with many seasons of leaves from an immense oak which grows nearby.
