Chesterfield County DATE: 1707, date of Church organization. OWNERS: Wood’s Church. DESCRIPTION: This cemetery is located on the grounds of the oldest church in Chesterfield County, having been erected in 1707. There are two cemeteries, each enclosed by a protective fence. The older of the two lies a few yards to the west of the church, between it and the surrounding forest, while the other is in the rear of the church and covers a much larger area.
