Chesterfield County On examination of John Angel who appears to be almost 30 years of age-find a ball has broken through his right arm a little below the humerus-great injury has been done the bone, a considerable part of which has been lost so as to render the arm shorter than the other and from unnatural ____ of the wound to the bone. The power of the arm is greatly diminished. Thereby he is considerably disabled from obtaining a living by hard labours only. W. Foushes July 19 1787 The within John Angel must produce a certificate from an officer who is acquainted with the circumstances of his being wounded in the service of the United States. Beverley Randolph, Lt. Governor of Commonwealth of Va. certified the sum of twelve pounds yearly to commence on January 1, 1786. (light print, hard to read)
