Chesterfield County I do, with the advice of council, hereby certify that, Robert Beckham of Chesterfield about 45 years of age, late a private in the 12th Regiment of Virginia, appears to have been disabled in such a manner while in the service of The United States as to entitle him to the sum of fifteen pounds yearly; which allowance accordingly made him, to commence on the first day of January 1786. Given under my hand this 11th day of October 1786. P. Henry It is hereby certified that Robert Beckham, late a private in the 12th Virginia Regiment, received wounds at the Battle of Brandywine in the head, by which he lost an eye ___ was ______ so disabled as to be rendered unfit for service and was discharged accordingly.
