In the Name of God Amen I Rebecca Brooke of Chesterfield County in Dale Parish being sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form following. First I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Brooke Five Negro Slaves namely Jack Else Harry Bob Amey and their increase which I give unto her and her Heirs forever moreover I give devise and bequeath unto my said Daughter Sarah my Horse called Blaze Bridle and Saddle and my Mare called Jenny and also all my wearing apparel my Gold Diamond Ring and Chain. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Dudley Brooke Four Negro Slaves namely Dandey Dinah Critty Nel and their increase which I give unto my Son Dudley Brooke and to his Heirs forever. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Brooke the half part or Moiety of all my Personal Estate which is not already given being of what nature or kind soever to her and her Heirs and assigns for ever. Item The other half part or Moiety of my said Personal Estate I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Dudley Brooke his Heirs and assigns the whole to be divided equally betwixt my said Daughter Sarah Brooke and my said Son Dudley Brooke at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named after my Just Debts and Funeral Expences is discharged and lastly I do nominate and appoint my Friend Joseph Tanner to be my whole and sole Executor of this my last will and Testament Revoking all other wills by me heretofore made Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my Seal this Twenty fourth day of June one thousand seven hundred and fifty.
