I, Joseph Farley, of the County of Chesterfield being sick of mind but in perfect memory thanks be to God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament first giving my soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it me to be buried in a Christian like manner and as touching what worldly Estate it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with. I give in form and manner following - I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Farley the five following Negroes Viz. Charles, Isaac, Anthony, Moll, & Jean they and their increase to her and her Heirs forever. But if my said Daughter should die without an Heir then the above said Negroes with their Increase to be Equally divided between my sons Joseph & Forrest. I also give to my Daughter Mary one of my best Beds and furniture four cows and calves one young Dark mair called young Bonny and all the _ather which she has or can raise a large Chest and two Small trunks a large ovil table and all the Bowls glasses and earthen ware to her and her heirs forever I also give and bequeath to my son Joseph Farley the five following Negroes Viz. Billy, Frank, Isham, also Adam and Fanny which he has now in possession and their Increase to him and his heirs forever. I also give and bequeath to my son Forrest Farley the five following Negroes Viz. Young Adam, Sue, Aggy, also Ned and Indey which he has in possession and their Increase to him and his heirs forever. I also give to my Son Forrest my gray geldin called Derick to him and his heirs forever. Item. I give all the rest of my Estate not already given to be Equally divided between my two sons Joseph Farley and Forrest Farley. I do appoint my son Joseph and my son Forrest Executors of this my last will and Testament and my desire is that my Estate be not appraised In Witness hereof I have Hereunto set my hand and fixt my Seal this Third day of May one thousand seven hundred and sixty one.
