In the Name of God Amen the 24th Day of May in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty five. I the suscribe being very sick and weak and in my perfect sense & memory thanks be to God for it and therefore calling to mind the mortality of any hu(man) and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it trusting in merits of my Blessed Saviour Christ I shall Recei(ve) the same by the mighty Power of God and as touching such Estate as it has bin please God to bless me with in this World I give devise and dispose of the same in manner and form following and first of all my Body to be Bured in a Christ'n. manner at the discretion of my Executors and after all my just Debts paid I dispose of the rest in the manner and form following. Imprimis I give and bequeath to my loving Daughter Mary Hancock my neg(ro) man named Will. Item I give to my beloved Grandson John Cox one hundred acres of Land Joyning the Lands of John Farmer and John Booman and the Land that my Daughter Mary Hancock now lives on to him and his Heirs forever. Item I give to my beloved Grandson Matthew Cox one hundred acres of Land whereon I now live and to his Heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my beloved grandaughter Sarah Graves one Endian Malato lad nam'd. Roben and to her Heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my beloved grandaughter Franceis Cox my Endian Malato man named Edward Sturar(?) to her and her Heirs Forever and as for my personal Estate I give it to the above named Grand Children or to be soold and the money to be Equally Divided amongst them in who__e. I likewise make and ordain my only dear and well Beloved Friends William Graves and John Cox my hole & sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament whereby I do utterle Revoke and Disannul all and every former Testaments Wills & Bequests & Executors given under my hand the Day and year above written.
