I John Martin of Chesterfield County do hereby make my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say- 1st I desire that all my just debts and funeral expense be paid. 2dly After the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give to my beloved wife Rebecca Martin my entire estate both real and personal during the term of her natural life but I desire that in the event that she marry she shall use and enjoy according to the laws of Virginia the one third part of my estate during her widowhood. If she should not mary, during her natural life and after her decease I give the same to my beloved children Jordan Branch Martin Susan Hill Martin, Ann Watkins Martin, Alfred Robertson Martin, Martha Frances Martin, and Sarah Epps Martin to be enjoyed bt them forever. 3rdly I direct that the one third part of my estate both real and personal to which my wife will be entitled during her natural life, and also the residue of my property, shall not be divided among the above named children at the death of my beloved wife, until the youngest of them living shall have arrived at the age of twenty one years. 4thly I wish that in the event of the death of one or more of the above mentioned children, that the survivor or survivors of these shall be entitled to my entire estate both real and personal. And Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Rebecca Martin Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other former Wills or Testaments by me heretofore made.
