I, William Robertson of Chesterfield County and Dale Parish being in perfect sense and memory thanks be given unto God, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as followeth, viz, I recommend my soul into the arms of almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my executor hereafter mentioned and my estate which pleased God to bless me with as with in this manner, viz.. ITEM. I desire that my land may be equally divided between my two sons, William Robertson and Bridgewater Robertson and to their heirs forever. I lend unto my son William my colt until my son Bridgewater comes of age and then to be returned to him. ITEM. I give unto my daughter Elisabeth Clyborne one shilling, sterling. I give likewise to my daughter Martha Blanchet one shilling, sterling. I give unto my daughter Triss Robertson my spinning wheel and cards. I give unto Thomas Marcom my white mare and all the remainder of my estate to be sold and the money to be kept by my brother George Robertson until my son Bridgewater Robertson comes of age and then do give it to him. I leave my brother George Robertson and my son William Robertson my sole executors of this my last will and Testament, In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand seal this 15th day of June one thousand seven hundred and sixty four.
