In the Name of God Amen I Littlebury Royall of Dale Parish in the County of Chesterfield being sick and weak in Body but of Sound memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last will and Testament that is to say First and principally I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty being penitant and heartily Sorry for all my Sins believing assuredly to be Saved and to Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven Through the Merits of my Blessed Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently Buried in a Christian manner at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned and as for my Worldly goods I give and dispose of as follows. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Three Negroes viz. Cato Rachel and Seipeo(?) with their encrease. Item. I also give to my said Son Joseph my Plantation on Appomattox River with all its appertanances to him his Heirs and assigns. Item. I give and bequeath to my Son Littlebury Three Negroes viz. Sambo Lucy and Mol with their encrease as also one Feather Bed & Furniture. Item. I give and bequeath to my Son John Royall Three Negroes viz. Aggy Lewis and Judey with their encrease as also one Feather Bed and Furniture. Item. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Two Negroes viz. Ben and Phillis with their encrease to her own Proper use and Behoof I give also to my said wife the use of all my Negroes During her widowhood I also give her one Feather Bed and furniture also one quarter part of my Stock and Household goods not already given. Item. I give to my Sons Littlebury and John all the Money I have now in the House and what is due to me to be divided between them except Five Guineas and if either of them Die before they come of age and without Lawful Heir of their Body then the Survivor to take all. Item. I desire my Stock and household not already mentioned be equally divided among my wife and children by my Executors. Item. My will and desire is my Estate be not appraised my will is my Negro Abram be sold at the Discretion of my Executor. Item. I give to my wife Mary Five Guineas who with my Brothers Richard and John Royall I appoint and ordain to Execute this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Tenth Day of July in the year of our Lord 1749.
