In the Name of God Amen. Sept.24th 1773 I Thomas Stratton of the County of Chesterfield & parish of Dale be at this time of sound mind & perfect memory tho weak in body do make & publish this to be my last Will & Testament in manner & form following. I give unto my wife the Land I do now live on, Three Negroes Hary Sarah & Will, four head of Cattle, one bay Colt, one Feather Bed & furniture during her natural life. I do give & bequeath unto my Son Thomas Stratton the Tract of Land I do live on after my wifes death, one Negroe boy named Isaac, one feather Bed & furniture & all my Stock to be equally divided among my three Sons Thomas Henry & John Stratton, I give and bequeath unto my Son Henry Stratton a tract of land lying on the that goes from Burmuda Hundred to Osborns & one Negroe named Sam & one feather Bed & furniture I give & bequeath unto my son John Stratton one tract of land that lies in Cumberland County formerly the property of Abraham Womack & one Negroe boy named Joe, & one bed & furniture. And all the rest of my Estate to be equally divided among them all, I hereby nominate & appoint my Son Tho's.
