Culpeper County This cemetery is in an orchard belonging to Mr. Mercer Bruce of Leon, Virginia. There are quite a few graves, all of which are marked but all but one of them are marked with common field stones and have no inscriptions. The one with the inscription is a large marble slab placed over the entire grave. Sacred to the memory of Joseph N. Fant was born Jan. 21, 1806 and departed this life Dec. 25, 1849 Dearest Husband thou hast left us We thy loss must deeply feel But ‘tis God that has bereft us He can all our sorrows heal
