Culpeper County These graves are out in a pasture which has been used for stock for many years. There is no fence around the graves and nothing to protect them from the cattle. Trees have grown up in what was once a graveyard. In this spot behind the place where the home of the Barbours and at one time Thompson’s stood, there are two graves. If there were any more graves there, they have been destroyed. There are only two stones left. Calhoun Barbour Born June 19, 1825 Died Nov. 19, 1841 Montague son of G.G. & E.
