Thompson Cemetery Location: 1.4 miles west of Rixeyville, Virginia, on Route #640; thence south on private road and across field 1 mile to cemetery. Culpeper County This cemetery is located on a hill and is fenced in with an iron fence. The bushes have grown up inside the fence so that it is hard to get into it. There are lilies planted all over the graves. The only inscription that could be read is as follows: In memory of Amanda M. Wife of J. Marshall Locke Died Feb. 26, 1858 Aged 26 years A devoted wife, affectionate Mother and dutiful daughter here sleeps, to rise in the morn of the resurrection
