North side of road. Culpeper County This cemetery belonged to Captain A. P. Hill and was reserved by the Hill family when the place was sold. This cemetery once had a rock wall around it with evergreens plated in it, but one of the owners since the death of Mrs. M. H. Jeffries in 1909 cut the boxwood and trees and allowed the fence to fall down. The under brush was allowed to grow unchecked until quite recently when a new owner cleared off the bushes. This is the cemetery in which Captain A.P. Hill, father of General A. P. Hill was buried originally, but his body as well as several others, have been taken away. The only ones left here now are that of a daughter of Captain Hill and that of the wife of Thomas Hill, Jr. son of Captain Hill and brother of General A. P. Hill. Sacred to the memory of Margaret Ann consort of Thomas Hill, Jr. who departed this life 27th Oct. 1833 in the 22nd year of her age In memory of Frances Ann daughter of Thos. & Marg’t Hill who died Dec. 3rd, 1848 Aged 17 yrs.
