Thompson Cemetery Location: 4 miles northwest of Rixeyville, Virginia on Route #640; thence southwest on Route #627 .5 mile; thence south on private road .5 mile to house; thence ¼ mile east of house to graveyard. Culpeper County This cemetery is on a knoll in a grove of trees. There are vines of all kinds over the graves making them hard to find. Some of the graves are unmarked and some of them are recent graves. The inscriptions on the old stones are as follows: Ann E. Hitt Born Sept. 25, 1833 Died July 15, 1858 John H.
