The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ******************************************************************************** Will: James Gillison, Culpeper Co, VA (1759) IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I James Gillison of Culpeper County, being of perfect sence & memory memory (repeated) and judgment and reflecting that death is the common fate of all mankind, but they are left in the dark with regard to the time and manner of it; to prevent any disputes that might arise after my decease about the distribution of what worldly estate it has pleased the Divine providence to beless me with, I do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following, vizt: Imprimis: I give and devise all my lands in Culpeper County to John Gillison, Jr my nephew, son to my brother John Gillison, of Caroline County, gentleman, to him & his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to the said John Gillison Jr and to my brother Archibald Gillison, all my negroes and personal estate of what kind soever (to be equally divided between them) to them & their heirs forever. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my brothers John Gillison & Archibald Gillison Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
