The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ******************************************************************************** Will: Margaret Vawter, Culpeper Co, VA (1756) IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Margaret Vawter of the County of Culpeper, being sick & weak in body but of sound & perfect mind and memory do make & ordain this my last will and testament in manner & form following: I give and bequeath unto my son David Vawter the use and profit of a negro girl named Cloe until the first day of October one thousand seven hundred & fifty seven, also I give unto my son David Vawter what mony he owes me & the (20? houshold furniture & tools which he has of mine in his possession to him & his heirs forever, he paying his sister Winefred McBen fifty shillings current money. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Angus Vawter the first child my said negro girl Cloe shall bring to be delivered him at a year old or ten pounds current money which ever my said son Angus shall choose, to him & his heirs for ever. Item: I give & bequeath unto Ephraim Rucker & Margaret, his wife, one negro girl named Cloe & her increase to them and their heirs for ever, they delivering to my son Angus Vawter the first child that the said Cloe shall bring or pay him ten pounds current money which ever my said son Angus shall choose.  But in case the said Cloe should die without such child or before she has been in the possession of Ephraim Rucker & his wife one year, then my said son Angus to be paid ten pounds current money out of the remainder of my estate. Item: I give & bequeath all the remainder of my estate to my two sons Richard Vawter & Angus Vawter & my daughter Winefred McBen, to them & their heirs for ever to be equally divided. And lastly, I constitute, ordain & appoint Ephraim Rucker whole & sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament.
