The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ******************************************************************************** Will: Leonard Ziglar, Culpeper Co, VA (1757) IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Leonard Ziglar being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to almighty God for it, and as touching my temporal afairs doth make this my Last Will and Testament and princeply I recommend my soul to God who gave it hoping through the death and passion of my blessed God and saviour Jesus Christ to receive full and free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins and for my body to the ground to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named.  And for my temporal estate which it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I give and dispose of in manner and form following, viz: Imprimis: Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Christopher Ziglar the half of that tract of land whereon I now live, to him and his haires forever, it being fore hundred & forty five acres, be the same more or less. Item: I give &c to my beloved son Leonard Ziglar the other half of the said tract of land and plantation whereon I now live to him and his haires for ever. Item: I give &c to my beloved daughter Elizabeth Ziglar all that tract and parcel of land lying on Stoney Run and joyning Fredrick Zimmerman, to her and her haires for ever, it being two hundred acres, be the same more or less. Item: I give &c to my beloved daughter Ann Ziglar the half of that tract of land joining Col. Spotswood and Gictredge Lightfoot, to her and here haires for ever, it being two hundred sixty two acres, be the same more or less. Item: I give &c to my beloved daughter Susana Ziglar the other half of the said tract of land lying and being as aforesaid, to her and her haires for ever. And lastly, my desire is that all my just debts be payed and discharged and and (repeated) my funeral expence by Warbery Ziglar and Fedrick Zimmerman, Executors of this, my Last Will and Testament and my desire is that the rest of my estate be equally devided to each child a part by the Executors of this my last Will revoking, disnuling all former and other Wills by me heretofore made and confirming this to be my Last Will and Testament. Sawess     mark                        At a Court held for the County of Culpeper                           Thursday, the 17th day of August 1758 This Last Will and Testament of Leonard Ziglar was exhibited into court by Frederick Zimmerman, one of the Executors therein named and was proved by the oath of James Conner & Samuel Surket, witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Frederick Zimmerman, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form having given bond and security as the law directs.                                                       Teste:                                                       Roger Dixon, Cl.Cur.
