HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions were taken from stones in the Johnson Cemetery: Medium sized upright stone: Martha Johnson Born 1825 Died 1859 Blessed are they that put their trust in God. Medium sized stone inscribed: Narcissa M. Fraysier Born May 9, 1847 Departed this life Aug. 22, 1896 Asleep in Jesus Medium sized stone inscribed: Mary B. This cemetery is probably older than the date of the oldest inscription listed. A brick taken from the old house that stood near by, bears the date 1737, so it is quite possible that some of the graves are very old.
