Meadow Cemetery Location: .4 miles east of Cumberland Court House on Route #60. Cemetery about 200 yards on north side of road. Cumberland County DATE: Exact date unknown. (1937) DESCRIPTION: A few yards northwest of the home known as Woodlawn there is a cemetery which contains half an acre. The old graveyard is enclosed. Considering the age of it, the cemetery is very good condition. In it, there are two rows of twenty boxwood, which are very large and very old. There are no markers in this graveyard. Just north of the cemetery for the white people, there formerly was a graveyard for the servants. This is not enclosed and has not been preserved. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Many of the former owners of the place were buried at Woodlawn. Hezekiah Ford, who owned the place as early as 1846 and who operated a tavern at Woodlawn in 1850, was buried there.
