CUMBERLAND COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - William Moss to Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit, 25 Nov 1751 ----¤¤¤---- Deed from William Moss To Anthony and Hezekiah Colquit Deed Book 1, page 432, 433, 434 & 435 ( page 432 ) This Indenture made the Twenty Fifth day of November in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred & fifty one by and Between William Moss of Southhamparish in Cumberland County of the one part and Anthony Colquit of the same Parish & county and Hezekiah Colquit of Essex County of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Moss for and in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred pounds Current money to him in hand paid by the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit at and before the Insealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and Every part thereof doth Clearly Acquit and Discharge the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit their heirs Executors and Administrators and Every of them by these presents hath given granted Aliened Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain Sell Release & Confirm unto the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit one Tract or parcel of land Containing four hundred Acres Situate Lying and being in Cumberland County and Southam parish aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a pine Andrew Crew's Corner Running thence on Andrew Crews North forty five Degrees East Three hundred & thirty four poles to a Hickory thence a new line North Sixty five Degrees West Two hundred & Sixty five poles to pointers Thence on John Tabors South Sixty seven poles to a pine South Sixty Degrees West one hundred and ninety six poles ( page 433 ) To hickory thence on John Elliot South thirty Degrees East thirty Seven poles to a pine South fifty three Degrees East one hundred and Twenty nine poles to pointers thence a new line Thirty five and an half Degrees East Eighty nine poles to the first Station it being the said Land whereon the said Anthony Colquit now liveth with all and Singular the Appurtenance Thereunto belonging unto the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit and their heirs and Assigns To their only proper use and behoof of them the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit their heirs and Assigns for Ever and the said William Moss for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth covenant and grant to and with the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit their heirs Executors and Administrators and Every of them by these presents-that it shall and may be Lawful to and for the said Anthony Colquit & Hezekiah Colquit their heirs Executors and Administrators to have hold Occupy possess and Enjoy the said Land and premises and the Right and Title of him the said William Moss without any lawful Set Suit Trouble Molestation or Interruption of him of him the said William Moss his heirs Executors-and Administrators or any of them or any other person or persons Lawfully Claiming or to Claim in by from or under them or any of them and the said William Moss for himself and his heirs The said Land and ( page 434 ) Premises as before Intended Mentioned and Exprest unto the said Anthony Colquit and Hezekiah Colquit and their heirs against him the said William Moss and his heirs and all----Claiming or to Claim in by from or under them or any of them shall & will Warrant and for Ever Defend by these presents--- In Witness whereof the said William Moss hath hereunto put his hand and Affixed his Seal the Day & Year firstabove Written.
